Morning loves, although my body is still very much firmly sat in winter - she says wrapped up in a warm blanket and drinking a morning cuppa - my mind is drifting off to summer.
Our hire period is from May - September, and typically weekends, but I'd love to do more mid-week events, which lends itself to B2B.
We've done a few in the past, and a work summer festival makes a refreshing alternative to the traditional office party or team outing. We can help find a field and place to host, and have great relationships with venues in South West so can happily share our suggestions. For our part, we can supply pop-up temporary accommodation for staff, and help to arrange other services you may require, such as toilets and showers, who said it was all glamour huh?! And if you want us to be more involved, we can recommend suitable workshop ideas and experiences too.
If you would like more information about this side of things for your company or small business, please do get in touch, or if you work for a company and think this would be cool idea, please comment with the company name and I'll send them some deets 😜
Oh and one more thing, this is a long post, sorry guys. If you are based in the Gloucestershire and Bristol area, and you run workshops or classes that might be suitable for this type of event, I'd also love to hear from you.
Wishing you all a wonderful Wednesday! The sun is shining here, and someone is coming to service the boiler, so you know, it's a big day! πŸ˜‚ Evening folks, I hope you are snuggled up next to the fire, or hugging a radiator to keep warm. Brrrrrr it's cold ❄️ I spent this morning hanging out on Pinterest - all in the name of research my friends 😜 - getting some inspiration on furnishings for 2018 season and dreaming up a new colour palette for tent interiors. Too. Much. Fun 😍
Getting to plan, create and bring it all to to life is very rewarding, especially when the tents are up for a special occasion, I like to think we add even more magic ✨✨ Although we have built up a nice collection of items, each year I like to bring something fresh to the party. You know?! I have a question, what furnishings would you like to see in our tents?
Where possible, we buy vintage or from other small businesses to spread the love around fellow independents. Any makers I should know about that are big in the soft furnishings game? (Is that even a thing?!) Anywho, thanks guys, always nice to hear what you think :) The sun is shining and the weekend has begun :) Having a chilled morning here, just sprucing up the house before @bradders4 comes to hang out with us :) Oh and having recently read @me_and_orla blog post on Cinemagraphs. I decided to have a go using an app called Lumyer - this is total entry level, and sure, my first attempt is, well, basic to say the least, although you gots to start somewhere right?! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Swipe to check it out my smoking hot coffee pot 😜 thanks for the tips Sara :) This time, every year, I go on an adventure to see the snowdrops. Last year I visited @nationaltrust Newark Park, they had the cutest snowdrop shop (see stories), and this year I went to @rococogarden. It was a bit of a grey day but they still looked beaut in the woodland.

In other news, I have been busy assembling our crew for the summer, and I'm really grateful to have three familiar faces returning with us for the ride 😍 I honestly couldn't be happier in knowing that we have an awesome team ready to go. We'll still need a few extra hands so please do get in touch if you are interested. We are a friendly bunch 😜

P.s my current obsession: willow garden huts. Can you see the one here ☝️so good. I may have lost at least an hour researching DIY willow dens πŸ˜‚ Morning folks, how's your week been?

With visiting family for a few days and then playing major catch up on my return, I've been a little off the radar.

So following on from my last post. Thanks for everyone's feedback, I'm excited about getting creative and sharing some more tent pics with you, especially some of our interiors. When the weather picks up, we are going to pop one up in the garden, it will be my permanent show tent. I'll be able to tinker and faff all I like. And I'd like to organise a shoot, so if you are a Bristol - Gloucestershire based photographer, and are interested in working with me on this project, please holla :) In other news I'm excited to share with you that we have joined up with @owlpenmanor offering additional glamping at their weddings and events. Hugo and I spent a sunny morning walking around the venue grounds yesterday, everything about it fits with us - secluded, beautiful, relaxed and unique. Looking forward to seeing @lulubelltents in this stunning valley, surrounded by woodland in the glade, or out in the open on the meadow by the lake. We'll have to get lots of shots of this view to share with you over the summer β˜€οΈ I have a question for you.. would you like to see more pics of the tents? I'm conscious that for a bell tent company we have very few images of our tents on here. I know I know, it makes no sense at all πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ Over the seasons, we have collected images, either ourselves or from our clients. This summer, I plan to capture life on the road, with more behind the scenes shots, and the tents themselves, so I can share with you all as we are travelling around.
What I hope you get on here is a glimpse into our life, who we are, what we are passionate about, and our style and personality, so you know what to expect when you work with us.

I'm in total admiration of those who know how to use a camera and work outside of auto mode. I'm learning little things as I go, although I tend to use my iPhone, it's too easy πŸ˜‚

Anywho, this photo was taken yesterday with @stagbeetleboots
The light was amazing, there was a light dusting of snow on the ground and it felt very special to be in the woods. A touch of Narnia about the whole thing, I had to share one with you all. Have you heard of a women called Mary Anning?! She was a paleontologist from Lyme Regis, who made groundbreaking discoveries in geology, including dinosaur fossils 🐚
My husband and I were chatting about her the other day, I think she was mentioned in a Bill Bryson. Anywho, not only was she a big deal in geology, she was also a great female entrepreneur - to provide for her family, she would sell her fossil finds to tourists, I just love this. Apparently it was Mary that inspired the tongue twister β€œshe sells seas shells at the sea shore” (did it get you?) If it's true, or just folklore, either way, it’s a nice story.
Although achieving so much, she didn’t receive credit for her findings in her lifetime, all because she was a WOMAN. I can't even?!😑
Ahead of tomorrow anniversary on womens suffrage and with womens rights at the centre of much conversation, I thought of Mary, and wanted to share this story so we all could take a moment and give her the credit she bloody well deserved.
Although we have come along way, we still have a way to go with gender equality, there are subtle, and not so subtle imbalances that are intrinsic in our culture and society, and I hope 2018 will be a influential year in shifting attitudes.
Have you heard about the women's march next month? And are you going? Current situation. Drinking tea, reading Virginia Woolf and listening to Charis Matthews on Radio 6. Still in Pjs. *

Hoping to head out for a walk to see some snowdrops this afternoon. Snowdrops are my favourite. The first proper job I had was on Gardens Illustrated Magazine, and I've been obsessed with snowdrops ever since. *

Thinking of going to Painswick Rocco Gardens or Colesbourne Park near Cheltenham. Has anyone been yet? Is it too early? Any other recommendations of where to go?
P.s I'm totally aware that I sound like an old lady today πŸ˜‚ It's been a pretty slow day here, with the log delivery being the highlight. Stacking logs has to be my favourite of all the household jobs, kinda like jenga.
For those who saw my post yesterday - @theselfishstartupco and I had a really productive day, i think our creativity was given a big old boost by the super moon - did you see it? Silly question really, couldn't miss it. Anywho, it's early stages and lots to do but excited to share more as we work it all out.
Anywho, back to tents. So weekends in May are now fully booked, yippee! We still have some weekends available over the summer, so please do get in touch and tell us about your party plans. We love creating a magical space for you to hang out in, it's actually my favourite thing ✨✨✨ Have a wonderful evening folks, we have our gorgeous friends @pickled_marketing @suzyatpickled over for din dins and wine. Now we've got the logs, you'll find us gathered around the fire. *
