With the season shifting, my instincts are telling me to turn inwards, spend some time getting ready mentally and physically to birth this babe and navigate my way into motherhood. Before I fully immerse myself in my new role. We have one more set up to do. And this one is going to be lots of fun ✨ @ladywillow and I are off to do a photoshoot with the wonderful @kkiliszek over @owlpenmanor tomorrow. Sure, the heatwave helped, although putting that aside, the business I started that began with my husband and I travelling around in our estate car to pitch a single tent or two, has evolved into a sustainable business with a collection of 35 tents, enough furnishings to sleep a small army and a core crew of 4 who have been working with us steadily throughout the summer. I sometimes wonder how and why I became a “tent lady” and I recently realised that it’s because of all the brilliant people I work with along the way. They keep me inspired. Working together with our brides, getting to know venue owners and spending long van journeys with the crew chatting about everything from life’s big questions, to the minutiae of everyday living. Some may call it nosey, but I like to think of it as taking an interest 😂😂 The purpose of Lulubells is to create beautiful spaces for people to gather and connect. Scorpio baby due Nov 18. #bumpnotfrump 😂 #19weeks After a pretty hectic few weeks we're having a slow(ish) day here. Two weeks ago our 2018 season begun, perfectly timed with the gorgeous weather we had, you know when we all lost it slightly after the longest winter know to man and genuinely started praying to the bright ball in the sky! We created an intimate set up @winkworthfarm for Nathan and Steph's wedding. Just close friends and family stayed at the venue, in a small collection of tents we pitched and furnished for them. Last week we were back with our good friends @winkworthfarm to run the glamping area at a large corporate event for a company away day and conference. Our amazing crew and suppliers helped to create an awesome event for our guests. We slept 65 guests in tents, provided electricity into the chill-out tent and pamper tent so glampers could charge phones and dry hair after having a deliciously hot shower provided by the guys at @PoshWash. We had a check in and luggage drop off service and were on hand to ensure the event ran smoothly. It was a team effort and big thanks to our crew for making it happen. And for those who I haven't had a chance to get back to, today I'm catching up with admin so I'll be in touch shortly 😍 Wishing you all a wonderful week and here's to a sunny bank hols 🤞🤞🤞 Morning loves, although my body is still very much firmly sat in winter - she says wrapped up in a warm blanket and drinking a morning cuppa - my mind is drifting off to summer. Our hire period is from May - September, and typically weekends, but I'd love to do more mid-week events, which lends itself to B2B. We've done a few in the past, and a work summer festival makes a refreshing alternative to the traditional office party or team outing. We can help find a field and place to host, and have great relationships with venues in South West so can happily share our suggestions. For our part, we can supply pop-up temporary accommodation for staff, and help to arrange other services you may require, such as toilets and showers, who said it was all glamour huh?! And if you want us to be more involved, we can recommend suitable workshop ideas and experiences too. Brrrrrr it's cold ❄️ I spent this morning hanging out on Pinterest - all in the name of research my friends 😜 - getting some inspiration on furnishings for 2018 season and dreaming up a new colour palette for tent interiors. Too. Much. Fun 😍 Getting to plan, create and bring it all to to life is very rewarding, especially when the tents are up for a special occasion, I like to think we add even more magic ✨✨ Although we have built up a nice collection of items, each year I like to bring something fresh to the party. You know?! I have a question, what furnishings would you like to see in our tents? Where possible, we buy vintage or from other small businesses to spread the love around fellow independents.
