We had the best start to the season setting up bell tents for an awesome couple at WildWood Bluebell in Moreton-on-Marsh, our favourite Cotswold glamping wedding venue. Gary and Lucy had a fun festival style wedding weekend in one of the most magical countryside venues I have ever visited. I mean, the ceremony was held in the woods, amongst a carpet of bluebells, under a wicker heart and all guests had to walk through a wardrobe of coats to enter the woods. A little nod to C S Lewis’ The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. How fun is that?!
DREAMY cotswold glamping wedding VENUE
Wildwood Bluebell is run by owner Georgie, and it has SO much to offer any prospective couple. Including a woodland, meadow, reception barn, private lawn, glamping and barn accommodation. I know right?! They literally do it all, covering most eventualities.
And you want to know the best bit, there’s enough on site accommodation to sleep 30 guests – in two gypsy styled shepherds huts and five bell-tents pitched and furnished in Munday’s Meadow. In addition, the facilities are excellent giving guests access to bathrooms, showers and hobbit hut with communal eating area. It’s a really good set-up.
EXTRA BELL-TENTS FOR GUEsTS
Gary and Lucy wanted an additional 18 guest tents at their wedding. We pitched and furnished our collection of bell-tents alongside the glamping that’s at the venue, to create one super-sized bell-tent village.
CHILL-OUT TIPI AND FANCY DRESS
The couple, together with their friends, dressed and decorated the venue beautifully. As well as providing guest glamping, we set up a chill-out tipi which was filled with fun fancy dress for guests, as a result the wedding had such a personal feel.
The bells must have made a good impression because after the wedding, the bride and groom bought their own bell-tent, and spend the summer glamping together at festivals. It was an absolute pleasure to be part of this awesome wedding!
Here are a few photos from the day, so much inspiration!
