As we approached the hidden woods, after driving deep into the Wasing Park Estate, where Sarah and Toby had booked their wedding ceremony, we could hear the faint sounds of Roni Size brown paper bag vibrating through the trees, as we got closer, the beat grew louder, and the trees parted to reveal Sarah and Toby’s friends and family, all on hand helping with tasks, soaking up the playlist ahead of the celebrations. Be it hanging festoons, testing the sound system and dressing the tables. The feeling was laid back, the couple ARE beautiful and the venue was the perfect blend of summer camp and party in the woods.
These guys radiated happiness and fun, so did their day. The camping and adventure theme was in every detail, from the enamel cup favours, doubling up as place-cards, to the guest glamping in the woods. We set up tents under the tall trees, just a stones throw from where the party would go on into the early hours, so guests could stumble back into their beds without too much of a trek across the woods.
And just a little further back, set slightly away from the rest of the tents, we pitched a beautiful bridal bell tent for the couple to stay in on their wedding night, furnished with white cotton bedding and all the trimmings.
Here are a few snaps from the day for you to pour over; the wedding was featured on Whimsical Wonderland Wedding Blog, so go check it out for more info on suppliers and the venue itself.
